Afternoon slump hit hard, so I popped back to KopiFellas at one-north for their Honey Earl Grey milk tea ($2.30), and it might just be my new go-to. 🍯🫖 KopiFellas is the homegrown drinks kiosk known for value-for-money coffee and tea (the cheeky moustache logo gives it away).
The drink itself: a deep amber milk tea with that distinctive bergamot fragrance from the earl grey base, slightly floral, and rounded out by a gentle honey sweetness instead of plain sugar syrup. Using honey rather than syrup is the smart touch, it adds a softer, more rounded sweetness that suits the perfumed earl grey rather than flattening it. Iced cold and served in their signature moustache-logo cup, it’s easy to drink and not too heavy.
For $2.30, it’s hard to think of a better-priced milk tea anywhere nearby, well under the going rate for a bubble tea chain cup.
Overall: 4.1 / 5. Nothing flashy but it does the job, the honey and earl grey combo is properly balanced, and the price is unreal. Will be back. 😍👍🏼
