The waffles here are the Liege-adjacent style: thicker than Belgian, denser than American, with deep enough pockets to hold a melting scoop without flooding. The buttermilk in the batter gives a slight tang that cuts the ice creamβs sweetness. Golden brown crust on the outside, soft cake-y centre inside.
The Aphrodite scoop (vanilla + chocolate paired) is the standard crowd-pleaser. Madagascar vanilla is the cleaner of the two, the chocolate the heavier hitter. Bouquet reads as a single floral scoop (rose or earl grey by the colour), the cafe-Instagram pick.
At $16 for two waffles + scoops via Burpple Beyond, this is solid dessert pricing. Standalone the same set runs $22-$26 in the cafe-dessert space (Sunday Folks, Creamier, etc).
Overall: 4.5 / 5. πππΌ Lovely dessert run. Waffle crisp held all the way through, the chocolate sauce drizzle gave the photos the cafe-Instagram look. Would re-book.
