Iced lavender latte + Hot latte at a kawaii café ($5.50++ + $4.50++)!
Café date — iced lavender latte topped with a coffee-ice bear (kuma), plus a hot latte with rosetta latte art in a sky-blue cup. $5.50++ + $4.50++.
Café date with BB at a kawaii-aesthetic spot with white hex-tile walls — went for the iced lavender latte + hot latte combo. $10++ total. 😍
What was on the marble counter ($10++ for both):
- Iced Lavender Latte ($5.50++) — in a clear tall cup with a chunky coffee-ice cube shaped like a sitting bear (kuma) perched on top of the ice. As the bear melts, it slowly adds more coffee strength to the milky-purple latte underneath. Lavender syrup gives it the floral note.
- Hot Latte ($4.50++) — served in a sky-blue ceramic cup + matching saucer, with a beautiful rosetta latte art in the foam. Standard double-shot espresso + steamed milk.
The lavender latte’s coffee bear is the Insta-trick — same engineering as the matcha kuma elsewhere, applied to coffee. You can either let it melt naturally for a slow-changing latte, or stir it in for instant coffee boost. Either way it’s adorable.
The hot latte was the no-frills classic — pulled cleanly, foam texture was right, rosetta was symmetrical (sign of a barista who knows their milk). Sky-blue cup + matching saucer = the photo-aesthetic upgrade.
Total: $10++ for both.
Overall: 4.1 / 5. Coffee quality was solid (not artisanal-tier but well-pulled), aesthetics were the headline. Café date well-spent. Lavender note in the iced was real, not just syrupy. 😋👍🏼
