Tequila sunrise (RM$29) & Long island tea (RM$35)!

A cocktail nightcap to round off the Malaysia trip with BB: a tequila sunrise (RM$29) and a Long Island iced tea (RM$35) (around SGD$10 and $12). ๐Ÿน

What we had (RM$64, around SGD$22 for two):

The tequila sunrise was the pretty one, and the one I sipped slowly. It is built so the grenadine sinks to the bottom and bleeds up into the orange juice, giving that lovely red-to-orange โ€œsunriseโ€ gradient. It tastes bright and tropical, all sweet orange citrus up front with the tequila warming the finish, easy and refreshing.

The Long Island iced tea was the punchy one. Despite the name there is no tea in it, just a cola top that gives it that iced-tea colour, hiding a hefty mix of several spirits underneath. It is famously sneaky-strong, so it is a slow sipper rather than a chug, but it was well-balanced and not too sweet.

Sitting out with a couple of cocktails amid the greenery and city lights was a nice, relaxed way to cap the trip. And at KL prices, two cocktails for around SGD$22 felt like a deal next to home.

Overall: 4.6 / 5. ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ A bright, easy tequila sunrise and a sneaky-strong Long Island, a fun pair of cocktails. Would re-order.
