For $9 with the deal this was great value, easily enough to share. The waffle was a fresh Belgian one, deep-pocketed, crisp outside and fluffy within, served warm so the two scoops on top started melting straight into the squares.
Cookies & cream was the reliable crowd-pleaser, vanilla cream with chocolate-cookie crunch, while the pistachio added a nutty contrast against the sweetness. As the cold ice cream sinks into the hot waffle pockets you get those lovely sweet, cream-soaked spots, and every forkful brings waffle and ice cream together.
The tea came hot in a pot, a nice warm counterpoint to the cold dessert, and the little meringue thrown in for free was a sweet, crisp-then-chewy bite to finish on. A relaxed, well-priced afternoon sweet.
Overall: 4.4 / 5. 😋👍🏼 A warm Belgian waffle with cookies & cream and pistachio, plus tea, all for $9. Would repeat.
