It’s that time of year again: Prosperity Twister Fries (扭扭薯条) are back at McDonald’s, and we couldn’t help ourselves. 😋 The Prosperity menu is McDonald’s Singapore’s annual Chinese New Year run, and the Twister Fries are its cult item, available only for a few weeks before they vanish for another year.
The CNY haul:
- Prosperity Twister Fries: that big yellow-and-red box of curly fries dusted in their secret spice blend. Crispy, salty, with that subtle peppery-paprika kick that makes them disappear way too fast. Twisty and very dippable.
- McNuggets: golden, hot and classic, with a side of curry sauce (because the curry sauce is non-negotiable) and ketchup.
The whole appeal of Twister Fries over regular fries is the spice coating and the spiral shape: more surface area means more seasoning and more crunch per fry, and the curls are perfect for scooping up that nostalgic CNY curry sauce. We powered through the box in minutes.
Total damage: $5.30. Cheap snack-meal joy.
Overall: 4.3 / 5. The Twister Fries are the only reason to look forward to CNY at McD’s, and they didn’t disappoint this year. Already plotting another box before the season ends. 😍👍🏼
