Strawberry Danish + Peach Danish ($5.50 + $4.50)!
Artisan bakery danish duo — strawberry danish with pistachio cream and peach danish with golden glazed peach slices. $5.50 + $4.50.
Bakery danish run — went for the seasonal strawberry + peach danish combo. $10 total. Two different fruit + cream styles. 😍
What was in the box ($5.50 + $4.50):
- Strawberry Danish ($5.50) — flaky pastry base topped with a swirl of pistachio cream (visible green tint), generously layered with fanned-out fresh strawberry slices, dusted with icing sugar and chopped pistachios. A whole strawberry tip crowning the top.
- Peach Danish ($4.50) — round flaky pastry shell with a wide centre cavity holding golden-glazed peach slices fanned out, sprinkled with crumble streusel for the textural finish.
Both danish use proper laminated dough — visible flaky layers in cross-section, with that buttery-shatter-crispness on the bite. The strawberry version is the more dressed-up showpiece (cream + fruit + nut topping); the peach version is the cleaner classic (just fruit + streusel).
Pistachio cream under the strawberries is the underrated combo — the slightly nutty-earthy pistachio pairs with the sweet-tart strawberries better than standard custard cream would. Strawberries on top stayed fresh and visible (not buried in cream).
Peach danish is the heritage Continental-style — fruit slices arranged neatly in the danish cavity, streusel topping adds the texture without competing with the peach.
Total: $10 for both.
Overall: 4.5 / 5. Strawberry was the more Insta-worthy with the layered fruit + pistachio combo; peach was the classic-execution win. Bakery danish game on point. 😋👍🏼
