KOI is our easy go-to, and these came in their signature cups with a domed lid piled high with a crunchy, caramel-glazed topping, the “pop pop” part. It is a fun twist on the usual milk tea.
Underneath, the milk tea latte itself was smooth and creamy, that familiar fragrant tea base with milk poured over ice, not too sweet (KOI lets you pick your sugar level, which I always appreciate). The caramel topping on top was the playful bit, sweet and crunchy clusters you spoon off or let tumble into the drink, adding a toffee-ish crackle against the cold, milky tea.
Two of us, two cups, sipping milk tea with a crunchy caramel crown, exactly the kind of little treat that makes a weekend errand more fun. Reliable, comforting and a bit indulgent.
