First visit to Clinton St. Baking Company & Restaurant! ๐ The New York brunch institution (famous back home for its pancakes) has an outlet here on Purvis Street.
Do remember to make reservations via Chope if youโre heading over for brunch on weekends!
The menu:
We ordered the Chicken & Waffles ($21++). The chicken was nicer than the waffles, which we felt could have been crispier. Chicken and waffles is the American soul-food classic that pairs savoury fried chicken with a sweet waffle and maple syrup, the salty-sweet contrast is the whole appeal, and the fried chicken here delivered, even if the waffle base let it down slightly.

A bit on the pricey side, but the fried chicken was good and the coffee solid. Wouldnโt mind revisiting to try out their famous pancakes, which are really what theyโre known for!

Overall: 3.9 / 5. ๐๐๐ผ The fried chicken was the highlight (waffle could be crispier), and it runs a touch pricey. Would return for the pancakes.
