What we had:
- Thai garlic seafood fried rice: with prawn, mussel and squid, topped with crispy garlic, peanuts and a lime wedge
- Krapow chicken: minced chicken stir-fried with holy basil, chilli and long beans
- Stir-fried kailan with salted fish
The garlic seafood fried rice was the generous centrepiece, jasmine rice fried loose and savoury with plenty of seafood, then finished with a shower of fried garlic for fragrance and crushed peanuts for crunch. A squeeze of lime over it brightened everything.
The krapow chicken was the punchy one, and the dish I kept going back to: minced chicken stir-fried hard with fragrant holy basil and chilli, savoury and properly spicy, made for piling onto rice.
The kailan with salted fish rounded it out with something green, the Chinese kale crisp and garlicky with little salty hits of salted fish adding that deep, briny umami.
Three dishes covering seafood, spice and greens, exactly the kind of shared Thai meal I love, and at half the usual price on the deal.
Overall: 4.6 / 5. 😋👍🏼 Garlicky seafood fried rice, fiery krapow chicken and salty-savoury kailan, a great Thai spread. Would re-visit.
