The triple-scoop format in the jumbo lavender cone is the indulgent order. Three flavours that complement each other, layered in a single cone that’s roughly twice the size of the standard cone. The lavender waffle cone itself is the differentiator — the gelato shop’s housemade base with a faint floral aroma that pairs with floral-fruit flavour combinations.
Lychee gelato was the substantial scoop. Pale white-pink colour from the lychee juice infusion, with the unmistakable lychee perfume coming through the cream base. Slight tropical-sweet finish that pairs with the rose without competing.
Raspberry gelato was the bright counterpoint. Vibrant red-pink colour from the raspberry purée, with the proper tart-sweet acid balance. Real fruit pieces visible in the gelato (the giveaway of made-from-fruit versus made-from-flavouring). The acid of the raspberry cuts through the cream of the lychee and the perfume of the rose.
Rose gelato was the floral note. Pale pink-cream colour, with real rosewater aroma — not the soap-shop perfume of cheap rose flavourings. Subtle, restrained sweetness, with a clean finish that doesn’t linger like a cosmetic.
The combination works because the three flavours share a floral-fruit theme without being identical. Each spoonful brings two or three of the flavours together, creating a different blend each bite.
The jumbo lavender cone provides the structural base. The waffle cone’s slight crisp texture and faint lavender perfume tie the whole order together. Eating from the top means each scoop melts down through the cone toward the bottom, so by the time you’re at the cone’s tip you’ve already had the gelato drip-infusion.
