Dinner at Inspirit House, the waterfront bar-and-grill out at The Punggol Settlement, a breezy spot by Punggol Point for a relaxed evening over Western mains and drinks. ๐
Rosemary chicken, the herb-roasted chicken with mashed potato:
- Meryl: the chicken was okay, but not impressed by the mashed potato.
- Winson (3.5/5): the chicken is not bad. The mashed potato was blended very fine with butter, smooth, though not to everyoneโs taste.
The soup of the day: mushroom soup! Not bad and not too creamy, which is the right call, a lot of places overload the cream until it is more paste than soup. Worth an order.
The rose moscato tea, refillable! A floral, lightly sweet tea, and the free refills make it easy to settle in and linger by the water, which is really the whole point of coming out to Punggol Point.
The food was decent rather than remarkable, but the waterfront setting and the chilled-out vibe are the draw here, a place to unwind over a drink more than a destination for the cooking.

Overall: 3.8 / 5. ๐๐๐ผ Decent Western mains, the real draw is the breezy waterfront setting. Worth a chill-out visit.
