Marutama!
Revisit to Marutama: the Zenbu Nose ramen ($19++) for the full Marutama experience, a humongous loaded bowl. Good chicken-broth ramen, great service.
Revisit to Marutama on a midweek, rainy day, the perfect ramen weather! π
Marutama is a Japanese ramen chain known for its chicken-based (tori paitan) broth rather than the usual pork tonkotsu, a lighter, creamy chicken soup that is the house signature. It is a different register from the heavy pork-bone bowls, and the reason Marutama has its own loyal following.
And we both ordered the Zenbu Nose ramen for the full Marutama experience ($19++)! βZenbu noseβ means everything on top, the loaded bowl with all the toppings piled on, the way to experience the full spread in one order.
Service provided was really good ππΌ

The humongous portion upon being served:

The meat lovers would love this full-experience dish, the bowl crowded with char siew and toppings over the chicken broth and noodles. Both of us could not finish everything though, it is a genuinely generous portion, the kind you go into hungry.

The chicken broth was creamy without the heaviness of tonkotsu, the toppings generous, and the service warm, which is why this was a revisit rather than a first try. A good experience, as always.
Overall: 4.3 / 5. πππΌ Creamy chicken-broth ramen, a loaded Zenbu Nose bowl and great service. Would re-visit.
