HANS IM GLÜCK is the German burger grill known for its striking birch-tree forest interiors, and the Chope set was a great-value way to try a spread.
What came with the set:
- A sharing snack platter: regular fries, sweet potato fries, crispy onion rings, fried chicken bites and dips, all dressed up with rocket and cherry tomatoes.
- Two gourmet burgers, one a classic beef with rocket, the other stacked with bacon, on those distinctive seeded buns.
- Two drinks: a mojito and a refreshing citrus cooler.
The burgers were the main event, juicy patties in soft seeded buns with proper toppings, hearty without being sloppy. The snack platter was the fun, pick-at-it starter, the sweet potato fries and onion rings especially moreish, and good for sharing across the table. The cocktails rounded it into a proper relaxed weekend meal rather than just a quick bite.
At $45++ for two burgers, two drinks and a whole snack platter, the Chope set was solid value (the same à la carte would run noticeably more), and the leafy-forest setting makes it a comfortable spot to linger.
Overall: 4.6 / 5. 😋👍🏼 Juicy burgers and a moreish snack platter in HANS IM GLÜCK’s pretty forest setting, great value on the Chope set. Would re-do.
