Dinner after massage in Bangkok (THB$490)!
A Bangkok Thai dinner after a massage: prawns wrapped in crispy noodles, stir-fried long beans with minced pork, and fried flat noodles. THB$490.
Dinner with BB after a Thai massage on our Bangkok trip, loose-limbed and hungry: a shared spread for THB$490 (around SGD$21). ๐น๐ญ๐
What we had:
- Prawns in crispy noodles (goong sarong): prawns wrapped in fried vermicelli with a sweet chilli dip
- Stir-fried long beans with minced pork and chilli
- Fried flat noodles with chicken, carrot and greens
There is nothing like a good Thai dinner once your muscles have been stretched out and you are completely relaxed. The prawns in crispy noodles were the showstopper: whole prawns wound in fine vermicelli and deep-fried into golden, crunchy nests, served with a sweet-and-spicy dip. So fun to eat, all shattering crunch giving way to sweet prawn.
The stir-fried long beans with minced pork brought the savoury, chilli-spiked punch, crunchy beans and well-seasoned pork with a good kick. The fried flat noodles were the comforting carb, wide noodles tossed with chicken and vegetables in a savoury sauce, a little smoky from the wok.
A relaxed, easy dinner after a relaxed afternoon, the kind of unhurried holiday meal that tastes even better when you are this loose and happy. Lovely value too.
Overall: 4.6 / 5. ๐๐๐ผ Crunchy crispy-noodle prawns, spicy long beans and smoky fried noodles, a great post-massage feed. Would re-do.
