Mojito — Grapefruit & Cool Cucumber ($19++ each)!

A night out with BB and two takes on a mojito: a grapefruit one and a cool cucumber one, $19++ each. 🍹
What we had ($38++, around $45 nett):
- Grapefruit mojito, garnished with a dried grapefruit wheel and a big sprig of mint
- Cool cucumber mojito, with fresh cucumber and mint
Both came as tall glasses absolutely loaded with bruised mint over crushed ice, so you could tell the mint was muddled fresh rather than just dropped on top. They looked the part and smelled wonderfully herbal before the first sip.
The grapefruit version was the sharper, more grown-up one: the citrus bitterness of grapefruit cutting against the rum and sugar, with the dried fruit wheel adding a little extra aroma. The cool cucumber was exactly as the name promises, clean and garden-fresh, the cucumber making it taste light and almost spa-like, very easy to drink on a warm night.
At $19 a glass they sit at proper cocktail-bar pricing, but they were generously built and properly made, and it was fun having two different spins on the same classic to compare side by side.
Overall: 4.7 / 5. 😋👍🏼 Two fresh, minty mojitos, the grapefruit sharp and the cucumber cooling. Would re-order.
