What we built ($5 total):
- A freshly pressed Belgian waffle as the base.
- A scoop of Snickers bar honeycomb vanilla.
- A scoop of salted speculoos.
The deal was the hook: a Grab app promo dropped the scoops to $0.50 each (normally $5 to $6), so the whole waffle-and-two-scoops came to just $5. At that price it would’ve been rude not to.
The flavours were both crowd-pleasers. The Snickers bar honeycomb vanilla is full-on indulgent, a vanilla base studded with chunks of Snickers (peanut, caramel, chocolate) and crunchy honeycomb, sweet and texture-packed. The salted speculoos was the more grown-up scoop: the spiced, caramelised Biscoff-cookie flavour with a hit of sea salt to balance the sweetness, smooth with little cookie bits running through. Both melting over a warm, crisp-edged waffle is a classic combo for a reason.
A fun, generous dessert for the price, the kind of treat that’s even sweeter when you’ve snagged a good deal.
