Thai dinner ($31.50): the deep-fried garlic pork!

A Thai dinner with BB, $31.50 for a shared spread, with the deep-fried garlic pork stealing the show. ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ˜‹

What we had:

Ordering a few dishes to share is the way to do Thai, and this was a lovely spread. The deep-fried garlic pork was the favourite of the night: sliced pork fried until crisp and smothered in a blanket of toasted, crunchy garlic, salty and savoury and intensely garlicky, the kind of dish you keep going back to with a spoon of rice.

The pad thai came hot off the wok in a little skillet, bean sprouts and noodles in that sweet-sour tamarind dressing, and the fried fish was the other crispy treat, golden and shatteringly crunchy on the outside. A cold, sweet Thai iced tea, that vivid orange brew, was the perfect thing to wash it all down and cut the richness.

Garlicky, crispy, sweet and spicy all on one table, and great value at $31.50 between us. The garlic pork alone is worth coming back for.

Overall: 4.6 / 5. ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ That crispy, garlicky deep-fried pork was the standout, with good pad thai and fried fish alongside. Would re-order the garlic pork specifically.
