Wednesday mid-week lunch at home with BB — back to the steady weekday plate after Tuesday’s Chope voucher dinner.

Today’s plate:

The Wednesday lunch sits at the mid-week peak of the work rotation.

Hot rice base was the standard fluffy jasmine.

Fried egg was the M-style sunny-side.

Stir-fried vegetables today were cabbage shreds with carrot strips, smashed garlic and a splash of soy.

Pan-seared protein was a small portion of sausage rounds.

Chilli sauce on the side as always.

We sat at the kitchen counter, drank coffee from the V60, ate slow. The mid-morning quiet of working-from-home meant we could pause and eat without the lunch rush.

The pattern through November: home weekday lunches as the baseline + occasional Chope voucher dinners + restaurant brunches + hawker stops. The mid-week home lunch was the steady anchor between the variety stops.
