What was on the plate ($8):
- Thin yellow noodles dressed dark.
- Generous char siew slices with dark charred edges + mahogany glaze + pink interior.
- Two large yellow dumplings (jumbo wantons).
- Fried beancurd skin (foo chuk) chunks.
- Choy sum greens + fried shallots.
The jumbo = oversized portion. Char siew was 8+ slices with proper char, dumplings were full-size (vs the small dim sum wontons of standard wanton mee).
Overall: 4.5 / 5. Char siew had proper char + mahogany glaze, jumbo dumplings were full bites, foo chuk added crunch. Premium hawker wanton mee. 😋👍🏼
