Fruit tea ($5); Honey osmanthus oolong tea ($4.20); Brown sugar milk pearls ($5)!
Bubble tea trio order — fruit tea, honey osmanthus oolong, brown sugar milk pearls. The classic, the refined, and the indulgent. $14.20 total.
Friday afternoon — bubble tea haul day with BB. Ordered three different drinks across the spectrum because we couldn’t decide and you can mix-and-match like a chemistry kit.
We ordered:
- Fruit tea — $5
- Honey osmanthus oolong tea — $4.20
- Brown sugar milk pearls — $5
Total: $14.20 for the trio.
Fruit tea was the refresher — a base of light tea (usually green or jasmine) loaded with chunks of seasonal fruit: passionfruit, orange wedges, lemon slices, grapefruit, sometimes lychee. The fruit floats and bobs as you sip, releasing more flavour the longer it sits. Sweetness was natural-fruit-forward without needing extra syrup.
Honey osmanthus oolong tea was the refined order. Hot or cold both work, we went cold. Light roasted oolong tea brewed with dried osmanthus flowers and finished with a drizzle of honey. Subtle floral aroma, golden colour, clean finish — the kind of bubble tea you order when you want tea, not dessert.
Brown sugar milk pearls is the indulgent one. Tigersugar-style swirled cup — fresh milk poured over brown-sugar-coated tapioca pearls so the dark sugar streams down the inside of the cup in those iconic tiger stripes. Pearls were soft, chewy, brown-sugar-soaked. No tea base, just milk + pearls + sugar.
Three completely different drinks, three different occasions. Bubble tea menus have come a long way from just pearl milk tea.
Overall: 4.2 / 5. 😋👍🏼 Fun trio order — would repeat the mix.
