Rocher + Mango Sticky Rice + Mentaiko Prawn croissants ($5 + $6 + $6)!
Artisan croissant haul — Ferrero Rocher chocolate, mango sticky rice twice-baked, and mentaiko prawn twice-baked. $5 + $6 + $6.
Indulgent croissant haul from an artisan bakery — went for three signature variants. $17 total. Each one a different experience. 😍
What was in the box ($17 total):
- Rocher croissant ($5) — a flaky butter croissant fully draped in glossy dark chocolate ganache, dusted with edible gold leaf specks. Inside: hazelnut praline cream à la Ferrero Rocher. Rich, nutty, the dessert-pastry crossover.
- Mango sticky rice twice-baked ($6) — golden twice-baked croissant filled with mango sticky rice cream and topped with a chunky cube of coconut sticky rice (the slab on top). The Thai dessert classic in pastry form.
- Mentaiko prawn twice-baked ($6) — savoury twist with mentaiko (spicy cod roe) cream piped on top, chili threads for garnish and a sprinkle of dried parsley. Spicy-creamy-flaky combo.
Each croissant had its own personality — the chocolate Rocher was the indulgent showstopper, mango sticky rice the heritage-flavour spin, mentaiko the savoury wild card. Twice-baking adds crunch and concentration of butter — the croissant base on those two was practically caramelised.
Total: $17 for three.
Overall: 4.5 / 5. Three completely different flavour directions executed properly — sweet, fruit-spicy, savoury. Mentaiko was the favourite; mango sticky rice was the surprise. Pastry game on this bakery is real. Will be back for the next limited flavours. 😋👍🏼
