Soi Thai Soi Nice!

Soi Thai Soi Nice at JEM, Jurong East: the standout fried pork belly with spicy dip, phad thai, clear tom yam soup and a refreshing nutmeg drink. Legit Thai, family favourite.

Soi Thai Soi Nice!

Dinner at Soi Thai Soi Nice, the JEM (Jurong East) outlet! There are other outlets at Seletar Mall and Alexandra too. A popular place among families, especially for weekend dinners. ๐Ÿ˜‹

Soi Thai Soi Nice is a casual Thai chain doing accessible, crowd-pleasing Thai mains in a mall setting, the kind of reliable family Thai dinner spot.

I personally highly recommend the fried pork belly, so succulent and tasty, crisp on the outside, juicy within, served with a spicy dip that cuts the richness. Legit! This was the standout of the meal.

The phad thai was not too bad as well, the stir-fried rice noodles with the tamarind-and-fish-sauce balance, the Thai-cuisine ambassador dish:

The clear tom yam soup, with a decent spicy level, the hot-and-sour herbal soup in its clear (not coconut-creamy) form, fragrant with lemongrass, galangal and lime leaf:

The nutmeg drink, a first-time try, tasted quite refreshing and cooling, the kind of unusual local-Thai beverage worth ordering for the novelty:

A solid, accessible Thai spread, the fried pork belly the clear winner. Definitely worth a (re)visit for legit Thai food.
