What we had:

This is the everything-fried box, and it is hard to resist. The barramundi was the centrepiece: a long fillet in a crisp golden batter, shattering at the edges and flaky-tender inside, that mild, sweet white fish you canβt go wrong with.
Around it, the box was generously loaded with fried shrimps (crunchy little popcorn-style bites, sweet underneath the crisp coating) and rings and tendrils of calamari, golden-fried so they stay tender rather than rubbery. There were plenty of chips soaking up everything underneath, and a little tub of sauce for dunking.
It is unapologetically indulgent, a whole haul of crispy fried seafood in one go, and the kind of thing you happily pick at, alternating between the fish, the shrimp and the squid. Messy, crunchy and very satisfying.
At $18.90 for this much seafood, it felt like good value, and a fun change from a plated fish and chips.
