- Mini waffle cones and marshmallows for dipping.
This isn’t the savoury Swiss cheese kind of fondue, it’s Andersen’s signature dessert fondue built around their ice cream. The fun is in the assembly: you spear a piece of fruit, a marshmallow or a little waffle cone, swirl it through the warm chocolate, and chase it with a spoon of cold ice cream. The hot-and-cold, the chocolate against the fresh fruit, it’s a playful, shareable dessert that’s as much an activity as a treat.
The ice cream itself was rich and creamy across the flavours, and the molten chocolate stayed glossy and dippable throughout. It’s the kind of slow, chatty dessert you linger over, which is exactly the point on a date. With Burpple Beyond halving it to an effective $24.90 for two, it was great value for the spread.
