Sometimes on a trip, after days of working out menus in another language, you just want something you already know by heart, and McDonald’s is exactly that. The McNuggets were the same golden, crunchy-coated nuggets you get anywhere, hot and crispy out of the box, and they came with both a sweet curry sauce and a tangy mustard dip to alternate between.
The fries were the reliable McDonald’s classic: thin, salty and crisp, best eaten straight away while piping hot. Nothing surprising, and that is the whole appeal: a quick, predictable, comforting bite that needs no thinking.
The one twist was the bill. At €9.45 it cost noticeably more than the same combo back home, which is just how Europe McDonald’s prices run. Still, for a fuss-free refuel mid-sightseeing, it did the job nicely.
Overall: 4.5 / 5. 😋👍🏼 Crispy nuggets and hot fries, a comforting familiar bite on the road. Would re-do for travel convenience.
