A cheeky McDonald’s stop on our Europe trip, the deluxe set meal at €11.30 (~SGD$17.50). 🍟😋 Yes, even on holiday, sometimes you just want McDonald’s.
What came in the set:
- A burger.
- A box of McNuggets.
- Potato wedges (instead of fries, very European McD).
- A soft drink.
- Dips: Classic Curry and Creamy Deluxe.
Part of the fun of McDonald’s abroad is spotting what’s different. The potato wedges in place of fries were a nice change, thicker and fluffier inside, and the local Classic Curry and Creamy Deluxe sauces aren’t ones you’d find back home. It’s still recognisably McDonald’s, the comforting, consistent familiarity is exactly the point, but with little regional twists that make it worth a try.
At €11.30 for a loaded set with a burger, nuggets, wedges and a drink, it was a quick, affordable, no-surprises meal, handy for a travel day when you want to save the budget (and the adventurous eating) for somewhere else.
Overall: 4.5 / 5. 😋👍🏼 Comforting, familiar McDonald’s with fun local touches (potato wedges, curry sauce), and good value. A reliable travel-day pitstop.
