First visit to Full Of Luck Restaurant at Holland Avenue, a Cantonese restaurant known for its roast meats and claypot rice. π
We made reservations via Chope prior to the visit, and the eatery was almost full house, so booking ahead was the right call.

And we ordered the Ultimate Char Siew & Crispy Kurobuta Pork Claypot Rice ($23++), so we got to try both the char siew and the kurobuta pork in one pot. Yummy!

Claypot rice is cooked and served in the clay vessel itself, so the rice at the bottom crisps into a prized golden crust (the βkerakβ) while the meats steam on top and drip their fat down into the grains. Here the char siew brings that sweet, caramelised glaze, while the crispy kurobuta pork (Berkshire black pig, prized for its marbling) adds crackling-skin crunch and richer flavour. Give it a good stir to mix the dark sauce through before it sets.
Ordered the French Beans with Minced Pork and Sakura Ebi ($12++) too:

A classic zi char-style stir-fry, crunchy french beans tossed with savoury minced pork and sakura ebi (tiny dried baby shrimp) that add a toasty, umami crackle throughout. The perfect veg-and-protein side to balance the rich claypot. Yummy too!
Will definitely revisit again to try out the other dishes.

Overall: 4.3 / 5. πππΌ The dual char siew and crispy kurobuta claypot was the standout, and the sakura ebi french beans balanced it well. Would re-visit.
