Mojitos — Thai sweet basil, Cinnamon, Ginger lychee. THB$200 each!

Bangkok Tuesday afternoon mojito flight with BB — Thai sweet basil, cinnamon, ginger lychee mojitos at THB$200 each (~SGD$8.50 each). Tropical cocktail trio at the Bangkok bar.

We ordered:

Total: THB$600 (~SGD$25) for the three-mojito flight.

The mojito flight format is the proper cocktail tasting approach. Three variants ordered together — different flavour profiles all using the mojito base structure but with the Thai-tropical flavour twists.

The base mojito structure is the Cuban-origin classic:

The Bangkok bar variants add the tropical Thai ingredient twists:

Thai sweet basil mojito — replaces the standard mint with Thai sweet basil (horapa / ใบโหระพา). Different from holy basil (which is sharper-spicier), Thai sweet basil has the licorice-anise floral note that adds the distinctly Southeast Asian flavour profile to the mojito format.

Cinnamon mojito — adds cinnamon stick infusion + sometimes cinnamon syrup to the mojito base. The warm-spice flavour transforms the mojito from the typical bright-citrus profile to something more autumnal-and-warm. The cinnamon works particularly well with the rum’s caramel notes.

Ginger lychee mojito — adds fresh ginger + lychee fruit (or lychee syrup) to the mojito base. The ginger provides the slight spicy-bite, the lychee provides the tropical-floral sweetness. The combination works particularly well in the Southeast Asian tropical context where both ingredients are local-sourced.

The THB$200 per mojito tier puts this at the proper mid-tier Bangkok cocktail bar pricing. Different from the tourist bar tier (THB$300-500 per cocktail) or the high-end Bangkok rooftop bar tier (THB$400-700+ per cocktail), the THB$200 tier sits in the casual cocktail bar range.

The afternoon mojito flight in Bangkok is the proper holiday rhythm. Different from the standard evening drinks format (the typical bar-going timing), the daytime afternoon drinks fit the holiday-relaxed pace. The mojito format specifically suits the daytime drinking — refreshing, bright, lighter alcohol intake compared to the heavier evening spirits.

Singapore versus Bangkok cocktail pricing comparison: SGD$8.50 per mojito in Bangkok versus SGD$20-28 per mojito in equivalent Singapore bars. The 2.5-3x pricing advantage makes Bangkok the cocktail-tourism destination across the broader Southeast Asia region.

Overall: 4.7 / 5. 😋👍🏼 Excellent Bangkok mojito flight — would re-do the cocktail tasting format.
