Mövenpick is the Swiss premium ice cream brand, and the Swiss chocolate is the flavour to order if you want to see what it’s about. This is a proper, grown-up chocolate ice cream: made on a rich, high-fat European cream base, so it’s dense, smooth and almost silky, with a deep, bittersweet cocoa flavour rather than the sugary-sweet chocolate you get from cheaper tubs.
That balance is the whole appeal. It tastes more of actual chocolate than of sugar, with a luxurious mouthfeel that coats the spoon, the kind of single scoop that’s satisfying on its own without needing toppings or a cone full of extras. A little goes a long way.
