一周年快乐! Our 1st anniversary dinner
A multi-course 1st anniversary dinner with a night view: beef tataki, pan-seared fish with pineapple salsa, a cheese-baked cutlet over pasta, and a mojito to toast.
一周年快乐! 🥂 Our 1st anniversary, and we marked it with a proper multi-course dinner, the kind where you sit by the window with the city lights behind you and take your time.
Across the courses we had:
- Beef tataki with a seaweed salad
- A warm soup to start
- Seared salmon with frisee
- A cheese-baked chicken cutlet over pasta with broccoli
- Pan-seared fish with cherry tomatoes and an edible pansy on top
- A prawn salad, a little fruit dessert, and a grilled chicken skewer
- A mojito to toast with
It was the sort of meal that unfolds slowly, plate after plate, which is exactly what you want for an anniversary. The beef tataki was a lovely light opener, just-seared and tender. The cheese-baked cutlet over pasta was the indulgent, comforting middle, all golden melted cheese. The pan-seared fish was the prettiest plate, crisp-skinned with sweet cherry tomatoes and that little flower making it feel special.
More than any single dish, it was the whole evening: good food, a view, a mojito in hand, and one full year together to celebrate. Hard to fault a night like that.
Overall: 5.0 / 5. 😋👍🏼 A relaxed, romantic spread of course after course with a city view. A first anniversary to remember.
