What we had:
- A waffle topped with mint choc chip and cookies-and-cream ice cream, Oreos, a brownie wedge, white chocolate, chocolate sauce, and a blue macaron with googly eyes (the “monster”)
This is the kind of dessert that makes you grin before you even taste it. The base is a freshly pressed waffle, golden and crisp with soft pockets, drizzled with chocolate sauce. On top sit two scoops of ice cream, a cool, minty mint choc chip and a creamy cookies-and-cream, both melting slowly into the warm waffle.
Then the loot piled around: crunchy Oreo halves, a fudgy brownie wedge, and the star of the show, a blue macaron decorated with little googly eyes to make the “monster”. It is adorable, and the macaron itself is chewy-crisp and sweet.
It is more about fun than refinement, but it absolutely delivers on the hot-waffle-and-cold-ice-cream pleasure, with enough textures (crisp waffle, smooth ice cream, crunchy Oreo, chewy macaron) to keep every bite interesting. A great one to share.
