LiHo 1-for-1 drinks!

Saturday afternoon bubble tea stop — pulled the LiHo 1-for-1 drinks promo at the chain’s outlet. Two cups for the price of one — the kind of math we cash in whenever it comes around.

We ordered (1-for-1 promo):

The 1-for-1 promo at LiHo is one of the recurring value plays from the local chain. LiHo (Lè Ho You) is the post-Gong Cha Singapore bubble tea chain — the brand that took over after Gong Cha’s local franchise pulled out. The pearls, the tea brewing technique, and the menu format are essentially the same as Gong Cha was, just rebranded.

The promo usually applies to specific drink categories — milk teas, fruit teas, or signature drinks. We tend to mix the two cups: one milk tea base (for the indulgent option) and one fruit tea (for the refreshing option). The split gives you both ends of the bubble tea spectrum.

Milk tea cup was the substantial drink. Strong black tea base, fresh milk, sweetener at 50%, pearls at the bottom. The chewy QQ pearls have always been LiHo’s strength — properly cooked, brown-sugar-glazed, with the right springy bounce.

Fruit tea cup was the lighter drink. Either green tea or jasmine tea base with chunks of seasonal fruit (passionfruit, lemon, lime, orange) floating in the cup. Sweetness level lower at 30% so the fruit acidity can come through.

LiHo’s queues at busy outlets are real, but the off-peak afternoon visits during phase 2 have been the easier window. We caught the 1-for-1 during a quieter Saturday slot.

The promo math: at $3-5 per cup typically, the 1-for-1 saves you the full price of one drink. Across the year, the LiHo 1-for-1 promos have stacked into real savings.

Bubble tea is one of the small phase-2 daily luxuries that has remained accessible throughout the reopening.

Overall: 4.3 / 5. 😋👍🏼 Reliable LiHo 1-for-1 — would chase the next promo.
