Thursday October phase-2 home lunch — rice, eggs, vegetables. Weekday kitchen routine continuing through autumn.
Thursday lunch at home with BB — the weekday rotation continues into October.
Today’s plate:

- Fried egg (sunny-side)
- Stir-fried vegetables
- Pan-seared protein
- Chilli sauce on the side
The Thursday lunch sits in the late-week steady rhythm.
Hot rice base was the standard fluffy jasmine.
Fried egg was the M-style sunny-side. Crispy white edges, runny golden yolk.
Stir-fried vegetables today were cabbage shreds with carrot strips, smashed garlic and a splash of soy.
Pan-seared protein was a small portion of sausage rounds.
Chilli sauce on the side as always.
We sat at the kitchen counter, drank coffee from the V60, ate slow. The work-from-home Thursday lunch break had a different rhythm from the pre-pandemic office canteen — slower, less rushed.
The home weekday lunch had become the default. Some lockdown habits earn their permanence post-reopening.
