6 pcs yong tau fu set ($7.50 each)!
IMM Jurong East yong tau fu — 6-piece set with noodles for $7.50 each. Custom-pick stuffed bites, broth on the side, easy weeknight comfort.
Monday dinner with BB at IMM Jurong East after a quick errand run. Yong tau fu is the classic mall food court move when you can’t decide between healthy and indulgent.
We ordered:
- 6 pcs YTF set with noodles — $7.50
- 6 pcs YTF set with noodles — $7.50
The picking ritual is half the fun — point at the steel tray, watch them ladle each piece into a basket, tell them which noodles, soup or dry. We went with bee hoon kway in clear soup for variety. Our standard combo: tau pok, stuffed fish ball, stuffed brinjal, fish cake slice, a leafy something and a stuffed bitter gourd for balance.
Soup was clear, light-soy and ikan bilis flavoured rather than the heavier laksa-style broth. Each piece had a decent meat-paste filling — springy, lightly seasoned, not the bouncy bargain-bin stuff. Chilli-and-sweet-sauce combo on the side did its usual job.
At $7.50 a set with noodles included, this is fair mall-tier pricing for IMM. Not flashy, no surprises, just dependable weekday food. Plenty of seating, fast service, easy in-and-out.
Overall: 4 / 5. 😋👍🏼 Solid YTF fix when in the West — would revisit.
