Yoshinoya gyudon + green veggies combo (M: $6.90)!
Yoshinoya gyudon medium combo — beef and onion donburi on Japanese rice, blanched green veggies side and iced tea. M-size: $6.90.
Quick fast-food lunch — went for the Yoshinoya gyudon + veggies combo (M) at $6.90. The patterned bowl always hits the comfort spot. 😋
What was in the combo ($6.90 M-size):
- The gyudon (beef bowl) — thin slices of beef and sweet caramelised onions simmered in soya-mirin sauce, all spooned over a bed of fluffy Japanese short-grain rice. Slight glaze pooling at the bottom.
- A small side dish of blanched green veggies (kang kong / spinach) with a light savoury dressing — clean palate cleanser.
- A tall cup of iced tea with the Yoshinoya signature plastic cup.
Beef was tender, onions properly soft, rice soaked up the sauce. Simple, fast, exactly what gyudon should be.
Total: $6.90. Mall-food-court pricing for a reliable meal.
Overall: 4.1 / 5. Yoshinoya doesn’t try to reinvent — they just nail the gyudon basics. The veggies side helped balance it. Will keep coming back when the cravings hit. 😍👍🏼
