Sunday seafood birthday brunch at The Boiler (Tai Seng)!
Sunday birthday celebration at The Boiler in Tai Seng with BB — seafood bag with lobster, crab, prawns, mussels and corn; truffle fries, mantou buns, fish and chips, plus a birthday cake to close. 1664 Blanc on tap.
Birthday feast at The Boiler in Tai Seng with BB — went all in on their seafood bags plus a couple of sides to share. Big day, big plates, big appetite. 🎂😋
What was on the table:
- A tall glass of 1664 Blanc draft beer — wheat-y, citrusy, ice cold. The kind of beer that disappears too fast on a celebration day.
- A bowl of truffle fries — golden, herb-dusted, that distinct earthy truffle aroma. Couldn’t stop snacking.
- The shellfish boil bag — crab claws, mussels, plump prawns, corn on the cob and sausage, all tossed in their signature garlic-butter sauce. Eat with your hands, gloves on.
- A whole lobster split lengthwise — sweet white meat coated in garlic butter, smelling incredible from the moment it arrived.
- A plate of mantou buns — soft, slightly sweet, perfect for soaking up the garlic-butter sauce.
- Fish & chips — battered fish fillets, golden, with thick-cut fries and lemon.
- And to close: the birthday cake 🎂 — pretty green frosting, pink macarons, swirly cream and a lit candle. Made a wish, blew it out.
Hands-on, messy, indulgent — exactly the kind of meal you want for a birthday.
Overall: 4.2 / 5. The Boiler’s signature shellfish bag delivered — sauce was fragrant and packed with garlic. The lobster was the highlight (always is). Tai Seng setting was casual which suited the messy-eating vibe. Happy birthday to me! 😍👍🏼🎂
