Hai Huang mee sua + Salted egg seafood bee hoon via GrabFood ($19.80)!
Hai Huang (海皇) Taiwan-style oyster mee sua + salted egg seafood bee hoon delivered via GrabFood. Two seafood-loaded bowls. $19.80.
Office WFH lunch delivery — went for Hai Huang (海皇) mee sua + salted egg seafood bee hoon. $19.80 via GrabFood for two tubs. 😋
What was in the tubs ($19.80):
- Hai Huang mee sua (BB’s tub) — thin Taiwanese mee sua noodles in thick brown gravy with bits of egg, scallions and a whole prawn poking out. The signature TW oyster-mee-sua sauce style (without oysters this time).
- Salted egg seafood bee hoon (my tub) — thin bee hoon in their creamy salted egg gravy, packed with clams (la la), a whole prawn, scallop-style slices, scallions and the signature golden sauce. Rich, savoury, slightly buttery.
Both held up well in transit — the salted egg sauce especially stayed glossy on the noodles. The TW mee sua was the comfort pick.
Total: $19.80 via GrabFood for two tubs.
Overall: 4.4 / 5. Salted egg seafood bee hoon was the standout — clams were fresh and the sauce had proper salted egg richness without being grainy. Mee sua was the lighter chaser. Will reorder both. 😍👍🏼
