Indomie Smashed Chimken at an Indo-fusion café (spicy level 2: $8)!
Indomie smashed chimken (ayam geprek) at an Indo-fusion café — Indomie Mi Goreng noodles, sambal-smashed fried chicken, sunny-side egg, krupuk crackers. $8.
Lunch craving — went for Indomie smashed chimken (ayam geprek) at an Indo-fusion café. Spicy level 2. $8. 😋
What was on the white plate ($8):
- A bed of Indomie Mi Goreng noodles — instant noodles dressed in their signature dark sweet-savoury sauce, with bean sprouts mixed in.
- A generous pile of smashed sambal fried chicken (ayam geprek) — shredded crispy fried chicken pieces tossed with bright red chilli sambal, garlic and shrimp paste. Spicy, fragrant.
- A sunny-side-up egg with a runny orange yolk perched on the noodles.
- Two prawn krupuk crackers for the crunchy chips top note.
- A few slices of fresh cucumber for the cool refresh.
Mixed the chilli chicken into the noodles, broke the yolk over everything. The sambal level 2 had proper heat without going overboard.
Total: $8. Café pricing for an upgraded Indomie experience.
Overall: 4.2 / 5. Ayam geprek + Mi Goreng = match made in spicy heaven. Krupuk added the airy crunch and the runny yolk smoothed the spice. Level 2 was my sweet spot. 😍👍🏼
