What was in the red bowl (kolo mee $4.80):

Side dish ($1.50): stuffed yong tau foo โ€” a piece of beancurd with minced fish paste, topped with chopped scallions, coriander and goji berries in a savoury dark soya sauce. Restaurant-quality plating.

Mixed everything together โ€” the mei cai + mushrooms + chicken combo over the noodles was that classic Hakka taste-of-home flavour.

Total: $6.30 for the noodles + YTF side.

Overall: 4.4 / 5. The mei cai sour-salty hit was the standout โ€” properly balanced, not overly fermented. YTF side was generous and well-seasoned. Hakka noodles done right. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
