Bakery pastry haul — $31.05 box of mixed pastries. The cafe-bakery splurge. 😋
What was in the box ($31.05):
- Pandan kaya brioche stripes (top left) — round striped brioche with kaya filling.
- Custard egg tart strips (top right) — long rectangular egg tarts.
- Glazed butter croissant (right) — golden laminated with mirror glaze.
- Financier squares with jam centres (bottom left) — buttery almond financier with raspberry jam pockets.
Mixed cafe bakery box — covers brioche + croissant + tart + financier across the laminated/buttery spectrum. The split-stripe pandan brioche is the unusual one (most SG bakeries don’t do this technique).
Overall: 4.3 / 5. Croissant had proper layers, pandan brioche was the standout, financiers were buttery-jammy, egg tarts had proper custard. Solid bakery box. 😋👍🏼
