Rainy WFH lunch — yong tau foo laksa takeaway with stuffed brinjal, stuffed long red chilli and stuffed okra in spicy coconut curry broth. $5.50 each.
Rainy WFH day — got two YTF laksa takeaways delivered. $5.50 each. The laksa-YTF hybrid that always satisfies. 😋
What was in each plastic tub ($5.50 each):
- A thin bee hoon base sitting in orange-red laksa coconut curry broth — properly thick, with the signature lemak from coconut milk and rempah depth.
- A stuffed long red chilli (酿辣椒) — slit lengthwise and stuffed with minced fish paste, sticking out of the bowl like a flag.
- A stuffed brinjal slice — soft purple-skinned eggplant filled with fish paste.
- A piece of stuffed okra (lady’s finger) — the classic YTF combo item.
Each tub had its own variety so we could swap. Pour-over rainy day energy: spicy, lemak, slurpy.
Total: $11 for both.
Overall: 4.2 / 5. YTF laksa is the right Venn diagram intersection — light bee hoon + spicy lemak broth + stuffed YTF chewy pieces. Perfect rainy-day delivery. 😍👍🏼
