Afternoon slump, time for the classic café teabreak combo. Waffle, ice cream, coffee. Done. ☕🍦
What was on the table:
- Buttery round waffle — golden, crispy edges, soft fluffy centre, the pockets just begging to be filled. Plated with a generous chocolate sauce swirl around it.
- Mint chocolate chip ice cream — a fat scoop perched on top, refreshing minty cream with little choc shards throughout. Melts into the warm waffle pockets — the whole point.
- Espresso — dark, properly pulled, with a little sugar cube on the side so you can dial in the sweetness as you sip.
Total: $14.20. A bit splurge-y for a snack, but the waffle was big and the ice cream scoop wasn’t shy.
Overall: 4.1 / 5. Mint choc chip + warm waffle is a combo that doesn’t get talked about enough. Espresso cut through nicely too. Solid afternoon pick-me-up. 😍👍🏼
