Late Saturday lunch at Clarke Quay with BB. We used the Burpple Beyond deal to make this a value play and it absolutely delivered.
We ordered:
- Udon + drink set (via Burpple Beyond) — $13
- Add-on chicken cutlet — $2.20
Total $15.20 for both of us, which is borderline impossible for sit-down food in this part of town. The udon noodles had a proper springy, chewy chew with a clean dashi broth — not too dark, not over-soya’d. Toppings were generous for the price tier.
The add-on chicken cutlet was the surprise win. Crispy panko crust, juicy inside, sliced into strips so we could share. At $2.20 it functioned as both a side dish and the dish, depending on how hungry you were.
Clarke Quay’s mid-afternoon lull is honestly the best time to be there — none of the night-out crowd, all the air-con. Burpple Beyond subscribers get a real bump for spots that participate; this is the kind of stack that makes the membership pay for itself in a few visits.
Overall: 4.5 / 5. 😋👍🏼 Excellent stretching-the-dollar Saturday lunch — would do this combo again.
