What we had ($10++, around $11.70 nett):
- Cappuccino: poured with a neat rosetta
- Chai latte: a spiced milk tea, also with latte art and a dusting on top
One coffee, one tea, as usual. The cappuccino was the classic order: a shot of espresso under a layer of velvety microfoam, with a tidy leaf poured into it. Strong, smooth and comforting, that lovely balance of coffee and milky foam.
The chai latte was the fragrant, cosy one. A spiced black-tea base whisked into steamed milk, warm and aromatic with cardamom, cinnamon, clove and ginger, so each sip is sweet, milky and gently spiced with a little hum of heat at the back. It is a proper hug in a cup, and the swirl of foam and dusting on top made it feel like a treat.
Sitting down with one bold coffee and one spiced, soothing tea is exactly how BB and I like to ease into a Monday. Both were nicely made, with that careful latte art that shows the milk was steamed properly. An easy, pleasant cafe pause to take a breather over.
Overall: 4.5 / 5. πππΌ A smooth cappuccino and a fragrant spiced chai latte, the best of coffee and tea. Would re-order.
