Chocolate soft serve ($2.20) x mango ice lolly ($1.20)!
A budget afternoon ice cream pair: a chocolate soft serve cone and a mango ice lolly. $2.20 + $1.20.
A little afternoon cool-down with BB: a chocolate soft serve ($2.20) for me and a mango ice lolly ($1.20) for him. ๐ฆ๐
What we had ($3.40 total):
- Chocolate soft serve in a cone, $2.20
- Mango ice lolly, $1.20
The chocolate one was a proper swirled soft serve, piled into a chocolate-coloured wafer cone, the kind that starts dripping down your fingers the moment you step back into the heat. It had that easy milk-chocolate flavour, cool and creamy rather than rich, exactly what you want when you are just trying to beat the afternoon sun.
His mango lolly was the bright counterpoint: a deep golden, glassy ice pop on a stick, frozen hard and tasting cleanly of sweet mango. Less creamy, more refreshing, the sort of thing that turns your tongue cold in a couple of licks.
Two very different textures for $3.40 between us, the soft, melty chocolate against the icy, fruity mango. Nothing fancy, just a cheap, happy way to walk off the heat.
Overall: 4.3 / 5. ๐๐๐ผ Creamy chocolate soft serve and a clean, icy mango lolly, a sweet $3.40 cool-down. Would re-order.
