What I had:

This is one of my favourite rainy-day orders, and this bowl delivered. The curry gravy is the heart of it: a fragrant coconut-based curry, rich and golden, gently spiced and not too fiery, with that lovely sweet creaminess from the coconut milk. It coats everything.

The noodle mix is the way to go, the springy yellow noodles for chew and the bee hoon to soak up extra gravy, so you get two textures in one bowl. The chicken was tender, the long beans added a bit of bite, and the two best soakers were the tau pok (puffy tofu, bursting with curry when you bite in) and the soft potato chunks drinking up the sauce.

Everything just swims in that gorgeous gravy, and you find yourself spooning up the last of it. It is comforting, generous and full-flavoured, the sort of bowl that warms you right through. At $4.50, lovely hawker value.

Overall: 4.6 / 5. ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ Tender chicken and gravy-soaked tau pok in a fragrant coconut curry, proper comfort food. Would re-order.
