Free drinks day at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf! BB and I joined the queue for the chain’s annual giveaway and came away with a row of The Original Ice Blended cups, having saved $21.40. LOL. 😋

Coffee Bean’s Free Ice Blended Day is the brand’s yearly thank-you to customers: for one day, you can claim a complimentary ice blended at outlets across the island. It always draws a queue, and this year we happily joined it.
The ice blended is Coffee Bean’s signature: their drink base whizzed up with ice into a thick, slushy, frappe-style cup, sweet and cold and topped with cream. Mocha is the classic, chocolatey with a coffee kick, and there are non-coffee options like pure chocolate too if you want to skip the caffeine. On a hot Singapore afternoon it is exactly the cold hit you want.
Did it taste better because it was free? Honestly, yes a little. Nothing beats a cold blended drink that cost you nothing. A small, silly win, but a fun one.
