Live-music dinner at Timbre with BB. Half & half pizza ($25.30++), a Timbre Edition craft beer ($17.60++) and a lychee mojito ($16.50++). 😋🍕
Timbre is one of Singapore’s best-known live-music bar-bistros, where the draw is the combination of homegrown bands, drinks and its signature thin-crust wood-fired pizzas. We made a night of it over a pizza and drinks.
What was on the table:
- A half & half pizza ($25.30++): one half roast duck, the other grilled unagi, on a charred, thin wood-fired base. The roast duck side came shredded with a dark hoisin-style sauce, while the unagi side had mushrooms, onions, a sweet-soy eel glaze and sesame, two very Asian toppings on an Italian base.
- A Timbre Edition craft beer ($17.60++), brewed by Archipelago, the house pour, crisp and easy-drinking.
- A lychee mojito ($16.50++): the classic rum-lime-mint-soda mojito given a tropical lift with sweet lychee.
The half & half pizza is the fun bit, Timbre’s pizzas lean into local-Asian flavours, and getting two different toppings on one base means you don’t have to choose. The roast duck half was savoury and rich, the unagi half sweeter and smokier, and the crust stayed thin and crisp under it all. Washed down with the cold Timbre Edition beer and the refreshing lychee mojito, with a band playing in the background, it made for a proper relaxed weekend night out.
Overall: 4.7 / 5. 😋👍🏼 A creative half-and-half pizza, good craft beer and a refreshing lychee mojito, all with live music. Would re-visit.
