Rainy day cravings for curry chicken noodles ($9)!

Exactly the bowl you crave when it is pouring outside: curry chicken noodles, $9, with BB. ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‹

What we had:

When the rain sets in, nothing beats something warm, spicy and comforting, and this hit the brief perfectly. The curry broth was the star: a deep orange, coconut-rich gravy, fragrant and gently spicy, the sort that warms you right through. It coats everything in the bowl.

The toppings were generous and made for soaking. The tau pok (puffy tofu) drank up the curry and burst with it on the bite, the soft potato chunks turned creamy and rich, the beancurd skin went silky, and there was tender shredded chicken and slices of fishcake through it too. The bee hoon is the perfect noodle here, thin enough to carry the gravy in every slurp.

A squeeze of lime and a dab of chilli sharpen it up if you like. It is hearty, full-flavoured comfort food, the kind of bowl that makes a grey, wet day feel cosy rather than gloomy. At $9 it felt fair for how loaded it was.

Overall: 4.7 / 5. ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ A rich, fragrant coconut curry loaded with gravy-soaked tau pok and potato, perfect rainy-day comfort. Would re-order.
